Did you know that Craniosacral Therapy has been very helpful in uncovering trauma?

During my years as a Craniosacral Therapist,  I have had many people enter my Massage Therapy room.  Often it has been due to a physical discomfort,  and sometimes as a proactive measure to feel good and healthy.  On occasion, clients have walked in because their therapist has suggested a body centered therapy to help release trauma on a cellular awareness level.

With SomatoEmotional Release, as clients begin to discover more awareness with their bodies... images, feelings,  and sensations may arise.  The work of the CST therapist is to provide a safe, confidential and supportive environment where these may be expressed in a healthy way.

By listening to the clients Cranial Rhythm, one can monitor the body to indicate what is relevant to the healing process.  Because the work is so gentle and non-invasive, the client is held in a space that keeps her/him in the window of tolerance with an opportunity to explore without going out of control.
